The convention will span across both properties of The Jupiter, with the majority in the NEXT location. The Jupiter is centrally located, a short streetcar ride from Powell’s, down the street from Portland’s favorite pizza place, Sizzle Pie, and a host of fun shops and restaurants to explore nearby. From the vibrant nightlife of the Pearl District, to tattoo shops right across the street and a metal-themed pizza joint down the road, to the picturesque beauty of the Columbia River Gorge, there is no shortage of things to see and do in the area.

Located in the heart of Portland’s vibrant Central Eastside district, the NEXT boutique hotel is the perfect place for travelers looking for lux accommodations with breathtaking views. Our rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase stunning views of the city, from the iconic Central Eastside to the majestic West Hills. When it comes to dining options, our on-site restaurant, Hey Love, offers the best of local bar bites and late-night eats paired with fun cocktails, plus a weekend brunch menu that can’t be missed.

Jupiter Original’s rooms in our converted 1960s motor lodge are located in the middle of the action. The rundown motel was rebuilt, and a decaying Eastside neighborhood evolved into one of the most artistic and culturally vibrant scenes in Portland. All 81 rooms feature wall-sized music murals and mid-century modern style furnishings and chalkboard doors (with chalk!) to unleash your inner genius.

The Jupiter has more information about the Eastside, including nearby bars & restaurants, in-room packages, and coupon codes for local businesses.

If the Jupiter is still too expensive for your wallet, even with the 15% discount, there is also a lower budget motel right across Burnside called East Side Lodge that has rooms for around $80/night for the more budget-cautious: https://www.eastsidelodge.com/

The Awards: Saturday night will be the annual Wonderland Awards banquet, where the best of bizarro 2025 awards for novel and collection will be awarded.

The Showdown: The Ultimate Bizarro Showdown will return once again to allow for the craziest, most fun, most bizarro performance-readings imaginable. More details will be forthcoming, but you may choose to mention your interest in participating in the comments when you register.
