The last book I finished was Murakami's The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. The plot was really addicting and it had elements of what could probably be called bizarro - not the best thing I've ever read but definitely engaging, as I've heard all Murakami books are.

Right now I'm reading Celine's Journey to the End of the Night (like it but not as much as I hoped I would - though am only 80 or 90 pages in), Dali's 50 Secrets to Magic Craftsmanship (very fun book to read and has a lot of useful information but is also just as eccentric as Dali and most of the secrets involve things like why a painter must construct devices to lure spiders into his studio to decorate it with webs), and Paul D. Miller aka Dj Spooky that Subliminal Kid's Rhythm Science - read this book! If you are interested in hip hop (the art of hip hop) or don't believe that hip hop is just as valid a form of music and art as even classical music, read it. Dj Spooky is so passionate and so intelligent in making his case for digital music that I'd be surprised if anyone still looked down on hip hop after reading it.
